Hi Everyone! Every now and then, when perusing personal finance articles across the Internet, I come across what I’m going to call an ‘Article of Interest’, or ‘A of I’ for short.
I decided it might be helpful to share a link to the article in case some of my readers would find it of interest as well. These links will be part of a new ‘Articles of Interest’ category/series.
In most cases, the articles will focus on dividend-paying stocks or dividend growth investing (DGI). However, other finance-related topics might be highlighted, too.
So, let’s get this started…
Link Overview
The inaugural link discusses how dividend-paying stocks may help boost retirement income.
This is not a revolutionary idea, especially for those who already have been DGI for years in preparation for retiring early, or retiring on-time. Still, I think this is good information, especially for younger investors, or those nearing retirement who may not have thought about this as an option.
How important is dividend income going to be in your retirement? What percentage of your total retirement income do your foresee coming from dividends?
Near the end of the article you’ll find a link to yet another article that showcases nearly a dozen Dividend Kings (or “Old Faithfuls”, as the author calls them). Check that out, too.
It turns out I own 5 of the 11 stocks mentioned in this other article. How many of those stocks already reside in your portfolio? Any of those stocks on your watchlist?
I hope you find the link(s) useful and/or enjoyable. Please let me know what you think.
Nice idea to share some interesting articles you came up with ED! I was thinking for a while to share what I’m reading but haven’t started doing it yet. I hope you will continue with this new section of your blog 🙂
Out of the 11 stocks listed in the second article, I own 3 🙂
Glad to hear you checked out the articles, BI. The plan for now is to keep sharing articles on a periodic basis.
Many times there’s a nugget or two in each article for you to contemplate, or to put in your memory bank. Maybe it provides a stock idea for further research.
Always appreciate you stopping by and commenting!
